Hot Pot Family Restaurant : A Review

Hot Pot Family Restaurant
Address : Wangkhei, Imphal - 795005
Opening Days : Sunday to Saturday
Opening Time :11 am to 8 pm

So I had a tiresome evening today. Eventually, I got the opportunity to visit this restaurant that I've been hearing about for quite a long time, for the first time. And I couldn't miss the opportunity to write a review about it. I did had a heavy late lunch and my appetite wasn't much good enough. But I am  a foodie, and if I have entered there, I have to take something. And I have to write about how I felt.

Restaurant Atmosphere
The first impression for any restaurant or coffee shop towards a guest is its interior atmosphere. Hot Pot Family Restaurant has a very spacious dining area with a total of 34 covers at the main interior and another 8 covers at the enchanting back lawn. The two Asian style low table setup is a highlight. Although I wished the setup includes cushions for sitting.
The restaurant offers a cozy, silent and comfortable dining experience avoiding the noisy and dusty wangkhei-kongba road. The table setups and the interiors are trendy. Although, I did see some insufficiency in the table setup for a fine dining restaurant, like the absence of knife and bud vase in the tablescape. I also noticed a soup spoon mistakenly put in place of an all purpose spoon in one of the cover. However, all these are somehow relaxable. Obviously we're not talking about a Michelin Star restaurant. The wholesome atmosphere of the restaurant is quite appreciable.

The Menu
The most attractive and characterizing feature of Hot Pot is its Menu. The Restaurant offers a variant and characterized Japanese, Chinese and Thai dishes. Not many restaurant in Imphal offers that. I was stunned just in going through the long list of courses that I felt peculiar. So, this would be the first choice for someone who's hungry for Asian cuisines which even includes sea foods.

The Taste
So the question that whether someone would visit a restaurant or not comes down to the taste of their dishes. As I wasn't hungry much, I was in a mood for a coffee and light snacks. So I ordered a black coffee (no espresso in the menu) and a Japanese Chicken Kraage. I enjoyed the Kraage very much. It was crunchy, but yet juicy in the inside. Although I wished for a bit of sauce as it was a little dry to take alone. But it was tasty with the  merinated cucumber and lemon, and thats all that matters. Unfortunately, the coffee was bad. They don't have a brewing machine and I didn't enjoyed it much.

The Service
Every diner expects a good service. Hot Pot offers a very good service in my experience. I got my food right on time. My friend ordered a Japanese ginger noodles and turns out to be too spicy for him.The waitress approached and calmly asked if it wasn't tasty enough. He told her it was a bit hot. She gave her suggestion to sprinkle salt. Thumbs up for a hospitable service.

Today is my first time dining at Hot Pot. But, I would definitely go there again someday, considering the dishes that I feel  curious to taste and the serene atmosphere and the appreciable service.
